What You'll Do
As a skilled golf course maintenance worker, you are responsible for various essential tasks that keep the course looking pristine and functioning at its best. From meticulously mowing, edging, and trimming the greens, fairways, and roughs to collaborating with a golf course designer on the redesign project, your expertise is crucial in ensuring a top-notch playing experience for golfers. You also play a key role in repairing turf damage and maintaining landscaping features throughout the course. Your duties extend beyond the day-to-day upkeep, as you work closely with the grounds team in winter maintenance tasks to uphold these standards year-round.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of turfgrass varieties, growth patterns, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance are required. The ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently is a must, along with attention to detail, whether working independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset are vital for this role. The candidate should be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and hold a pesticide applicator license or be willing to obtain one in compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate should have the physical stamina to sustain manual labor tasks for extended periods.

Education and Experience
  • Preferred degree or certificate in turfgrass or golf management.
  • Previous experience in turf management, preferably in golf course maintenance
