The Opportunity
Working at one of the largest single-family offices in the country, this position provides a unique blend of corporate and personal financial planning and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will support strategic decision making for internal business partners and clients of RDV through effective reporting and analytics, while contributing to a culture of teamwork, innovation, critical thinking, and outstanding customer service. This is a newly created position, allowing the right individual to help chart our path and advance our capabilities in data analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting.

What You'll Do
  • Thoroughly understand client and business dynamics and requirements to address most critical areas through analytics and forecasting
  • Own and understand all data (structured and unstructured) and support the cleansing, warehousing, and mapping of data to ensure integrity
  • Understand complex, multi-tier ownership structures and the impact on financial reporting and forecasting
  • Develop critical relationships with branch office leaders, understand the nature and format and data managed by these outside entities, and coordinate a timely and systematic process to import relevant information into RDV’s environment for reporting, tax return preparation, and forecasting
  • Evaluate financial and operational performance by analyzing past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations
  • Visually transform analyses to create compelling reporting packages for clients and management that share financial performance and investment holdings in a way that is meaningful and comprehensible
  • Evaluate deployment of reporting and visualization software to deliver quality, timely reporting to key stakeholders
  • Develop methodology for allocation of costs between departments/entities, leveraging technology/automation to record transactions, and thoroughly documenting the process
  • Prepare and update forecasts as needed
  • Work collaboratively as a business partner across departments to help achieve company objectives
  • Assist CFO, Vice President of Finance and Controllers with strategic projects, including those related to client investments and expenditures
  • Assist Tax department with compiling branch-level balance sheets to facilitate estate planning discussions

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of seven years of experience with a strong focus in financial planning and analysis, data management, and complex financial reporting
  • Strong business acumen and learning agility
  • Positive, professional, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Excellent communication and story-telling skills
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently, and be self-directed
  • High level of proficiency with accounting and analytical tools
  • Experience with Power BI preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional and highly confidential corporate environment
