The Opportunity
Ottawa Avenue Private Capital (“OA”), an affiliate of RDV Corporation, manages an alternative asset portfolio specializing in private equity, offering clients a single access point to middle-market Private Equity Sponsors across various investment strategies.
The Investment Reporting Associate operates in a cross-functional team environment, interacting with OA's Accounting and Investment Groups to prepare financial and performance reports for executives, management, and OA clients. The scope of reporting includes but is not limited to annual and quarterly portfolio reports, semi-annual valuation reports, marketing materials (flipbooks and executive summaries, Investment Group presentations, private placement memorandum), track record and performance reporting, and internal and external requests for ad hoc analyses and reporting initiatives.
As an OA team member, the successful candidate will grow professionally and create value for the firm by (i) participating in the development and production of presentations and reporting material, (ii) producing high-quality, accurate material with special attention to detail, (iii) collaborating with OA team members in a professional, service-oriented, and fast-paced work environment; and (iv) assisting in the development of new reporting techniques with a focus on automating reports and seeking process improvements to expedite the production of materials while adhering to the RDV Standards of Excellence and OA Ethos.

What You'll Do
- Work directly with the Director of Investment Reporting to support all reporting initiatives throughout the organization, assisting in preparing and reviewing quarterly performance reporting materials, compliance, and marketing materials.
- Develop expertise and understanding of the OA private equity portfolio, investment strategy, valuation methodology, allocation methodology, and OA's portfolio management and integrated reporting systems to ensure the integrity of reporting data and investment performance metrics in a multi-layered ownership environment.
- Assist with the thematic development and production of all executive summaries and flipbooks associated with the various investment offerings.
- Prepare and maintain a library of marketing materials and research reports.
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for multiple private equity investment funds, special purpose vehicles, and investor portfolios.
- Support Investor Relations in responding to all OA investor inquiries and questions relating to investment performance.
- Interact with the OA Accounting personnel, responding to investor inquiries on transactions, private investments, and portfolio company performance reporting.
- Together with the Investment Group, coordinate the accumulation and review of investment company performance data for reporting to various stakeholders.
- Calculate and interpret private equity performance metrics, including internal rate of return, multiples of invested capital calculations, benchmarking analysis including Public Market Equivalents, and Comparative Index Methodology.
- Demonstrate ability to understand and interpret financial performance data to prepare investment performance summaries.
- Assist the Investment Group with monitoring investment performance and creating narratives that convey ongoing strategy and investment performance.
- Collaborate with internal Technology Services, Investment Accounting, Investment Group, and Legal and Compliance to develop and implement new technology and reporting tools.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies; demonstrate problem-solving aptitude, flexibility, and the ability to develop and document controls to support a robust internal controls framework.
- Perform other projects as requested.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
- A minimum of 4 years of applicable experience is required.
- Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to proactively communicate challenges and progress.
- Experience in private equity or alternative asset management and vehicle structuring a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on multiple projects and initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Ability to work both independently and on team projects, managing numerous initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience building relationships and communicating with various levels of personnel within a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor, welcoming feedback and direction.
- Commitment to confidentiality in all aspects of the position and responsibilities.
- Must have experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
