What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination, execution, and evaluation of events focusing on exceptional outcomes and experiences for key stakeholders and participants.
- Identify, coordinate, create, and/or facilitate activities during events ranging from learning and experiential activities, to entertainment, social, and team building.
- Ability to research and recommend available vendors and venues for events, as needed.
- Ability to navigate the business, creative, and collaborative aspects of events.
- Stay abreast of current hospitality trends. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to serve as a thought partner to the Experiences & Learning Director and Experiences Team, and provide new, inspiring, and creative ideas.
- Develop and maintain vendor and third-party relationships as assigned to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Proactively communicate with direct manager and work effectively with multiple stakeholders including RDV Corporation employees, committees, and/or constituencies to understand objectives, manage deliverables and execute impactful programs.
- Contribute to design experiences and understand event strategies that support event goals.
- Thoroughly review assigned event details ensuring all planning and/or concerns are handled in a timely and professional manner. Escalate any issues or concerns to the Experiences & Learning Director as needed.
- Ability to create and follow project timelines and deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Attend events as assigned.
- Assist team members by fulfilling on-site event assignments to ensure all details of the event run smoothly and as planned.
- Serve as an active liaison with the attendees to ensure outstanding customer service while maintaining the appropriate professional boundaries.
- Respond to concerns and notify other team members as appropriate promptly and professionally.
- Lead cross-functional team projects and support special projects as necessary.Ability to monitor project expenses, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget.

What You'll Bring
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required in hospitality or related field.
- EMP preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, including experience in event design and hands-on production of all aspects of an event.
- Actively goal-driven, creative, forward-looking, and flexible.
- Excellent time and project management skills required. A self-starter who can work independently on multiple projects and prioritize work.
- Strong ability to express oneself to provide information to others effectively and in a succinct manner; outstanding verbal, written, and presentation abilities; ability to ask thoughtful questions to gain insights, listen, and incorporate learning into solutions.
- Strong sense of accuracy, quality, and organization. Ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates success in being proactive as well as providing behind-the-scenes “hands-on” services.
- Excellent positive interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with teams of all types.
- Demonstrates maturity and adaptability, maintaining a positive and composed demeanor while navigating shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Must be highly motivated and solution oriented with a high degree of integrity, ethics, discretion, and dedication.
- Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or weekends as needed, additional hours and travel during peak times or as required.
