The Digital Media Specialist will be a storyteller who thrives in using a variety of multimedia platforms to showcase information, programs, news, and events. This position will use raw information to create impressive presentations, and to develop, execute, and improve digital content.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, execute, and manage a content management plan for an internal facing application, aligning with stakeholder needs and driving engagement.
  • Coordinate the creation of digital content for websites and applications.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation on procedures used for effective utilization of internal facing application.
  • Gather and organize existing media in formats such as film, videotape, printed photos, negatives, etc.
  • Convert older media to digital format to make it accessible, readily retrievable, and visually pleasing. Catalog and archive originals.
  • Produce photo books, slideshows, videos, websites, etc. from provided photos and content. 
  • Create visually compelling presentations that effectively and succinctly communicate to executive level audiences, adhering to brand standards when applicable.
  • Coordinate the utilization of outside service providers, such as photographers, videographers, and media conversion companies as appropriate.
  • Address and respond to inquiries, problems, and requests in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Remain current with digital and social media as well as other related technology trends and industry developments.
  • Participate in other project and support activities as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in communications, graphic design, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience with designing and organizing assets including film, photographs, and digital images.
  • Experience with Internet concepts, including file transfer methods, media sharing, and social networking websites.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, plan, prioritize, and follow through on projects.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on many projects simultaneously.
  • Self-directed and collaborative; Able to work in a team environment in a corporate setting and complete tasks independently.
  • Creative with experience bringing new programs and ideas to fruition.
  • Flexible thinker; Able to anticipate needs and preferences of others and manage conflicting requests and timelines, prioritizing and adapting effectively.
  • Independent judgment, artistic vision, and a passion for compelling content to discern which elements to include in the materials and how they are presented.
  • Take pride in creating messaging through outstanding visuals/graphics and social content.
  • Proficient technical skills including PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Communicate effectively and to build trust with clients, staff and contractors is critical.
  • May require occasional weekend and evening work.
  • Ability to interface effectively with various levels of management, clients, vendors, and co-workers in a highly professional manner; the highest level of confidentiality must be exercised at all times.
