The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual who enjoys working on a team! This fun seasonal job will work on the West Michigan lakeshore and is responsible for exterior cleaning of a private residence. It's an exciting opportunity for a student or an individual who is eager to learn, grow, develop, and work outside!

Location and Hours
This position is located in Holland, MI. It will be approximately 40 hours per week from May to August, with the opportunity to stay on through into the fall season. This position will include some weekends and holiday shifts.

What You'll Do
As an Exterior Cleaning Assistant, you will work with a small team to ensure that all outdoor spaces and equipment are in pristine, ready-to-use condition. Your duties will involve cleaning all patios, patio/door screens, garages, patio furniture, seawall, driveways, balconies, etc., on a daily basis.

You will also work to maintain the cleanliness of beaches and waterways, and ensure all handrails, gates, and walkways are clean and free of debris, and routinely check and maintain family games, bikes, and golf carts. You will assist other household staff as needed, exercise extreme caution to ensure the safety of children when in proximity to lawn equipment/tools. Additional duties include assisting with washing, fueling, and detailing family vehicles. Reporting maintenance problems to the supervisor, exercising open communication with other household staff, and performing special projects at the request of the supervisor are also part of the job.

What You'll Bring
Grounds/grounds keeping experience is preferred but not necessary. A valid driver’s license is required. Responsibilities are conducted in and around the home(s) of the client of RDV. While an employer/employee relationship exists, it is important that the employee is genuinely committed to being part of the household staff team whose goal is to positively contribute to a happy home environment. Preservation of a quiet and peaceful household atmosphere is essential, and maintenance of grounds must be conducted around the family’s activities, with sensitivity to the privacy of family members at all times. Equipment will be provided by the employer, and methods of operation will be overseen by the supervisor. If a question arises as to how or when an item should be utilized, the supervisor will provide guidance.

Essential Physical Demands
You will be required to wear appropriate employer-provided safety equipment in the performance of the job. The ability to lift forty (40) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing on feet for lengthy periods of time is necessary. You must be able to safely operate small landscape maintenance machinery, such as a backpack blower and hedge clippers, and work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
