The Opportunity
The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and implementing financial systems, tools, reports, and processes to enhance our overall financial operations. This role is embedded within the OA Private Capital space to better understand their needs and collaborate on innovative solutions that optimize efficiency and accuracy. This role will also play a crucial role in supporting, maintaining, and upgrading our financial systems to ensure data integrity and compliance. This position requires a learning mindset, exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, and a core understanding of financial processes and technologies.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with the OA Private Capital team to identify and understand their financial system and process requirements.
  • Analyze existing financial systems, tools, and processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial systems, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, accounting software, and other related applications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues related to financial systems, working closely with other IT teams and vendors when necessary.
  • Provide training and support to OA Private Capital team members on effectively using financial systems and tools.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports (E.g., Power BI, SSRS) to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in financial systems and technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems with other business systems and processes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in developing Data Governance policies and procedures for new and existing financial systems.
  • Follow and maintain the Data Governance policies and procedures to protect data integrity.
  • Create support documentation for new and existing systems and workflows to guarantee the highest quality end-user support experience.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field and 2+ years of recent experience in financial application implementation and support OR Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 2+ years of recent experience in IT Support.
  • Previous experience with supporting accounting and/or investment systems is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and investment principles, processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Understanding of how databases work and best practices for database design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP systems, accounting software, and related tools.
  • Capable of report building using Microsoft SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GAAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • The ability to understand and communicate complex technical ideas and structures to people with widely varying skills and interests is critical.
  • Python and Azure Dev Ops experience is a plus.

Additional Information
  • This role is a hybrid remote role. The typical expectation of a hybrid remote role is to be in the office 2-3 days per week, depending on in-person meetings. The employee is expected to be no more than 1 hour away for remote days under typical driving conditions.
  • This role is one of three hybrid roles embedded within the OA Private Capital department. At least one embedded team member is expected to be in the office Monday – Thursday (excluding holidays)
