The Opportunity
We are expanding our Facilities team with this part-time seasonal (ideally April-October, see schedule below) Grounds & Facilities Technician to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our commercial properties across West Michigan. This role supports a small, high-performing team responsible for maintaining multiple commercial sites. The work of this position is primarily outdoors (approximately 90%) and hands-on, requiring consistent physical activity and attention to detail. High-performing seasonal employees may be considered for permanent, expanded roles as our portfolio continues to grow.

This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Takes pride in maintaining clean, well-kept properties
  • Enjoys physical, outdoor work
  • Can work independently with limited supervision
  • May want the opportunity to grow into a long-term facilities role
Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday, 6:30am–12:00pm (approximately 27.5 hours/week)
  • Potential expansion to full-time (6:30am–3:00pm)
  • Occasional flexibility for weather or event support

What You'll Do
Grounds Maintenance
  • Mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
  • Weed removal, fertilizer application, and general landscaping upkeep
  • Trash removal across properties
  • Cleaning and maintaining dumpster enclosures and corrals
Building & Exterior Maintenance
  • Interior and exterior window cleaning (including RO system)
  • Asphalt crack repair assistance
  • Basic exterior building upkeep
Facilities Support
  • Event setup, takedown, and cleanup
  • Inventory and asset tracking
  • Assist Facilities Manager with small projects
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
  • 1+ year experience in landscaping, facilities, maintenance, or related field preferred
  • Ability to safely operate lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong reliability and punctuality
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, humidity, and changing weather
  • Basic understanding of property appearance standards
  • Maintains professional appearance and conduct on all properties
  • Represents Rightbild Properties positively when interacting with tenants or vendors
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and pride in work
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Valid drivers license and own transportation is required

Working Conditions
  • Primary work will be conducted on-site across various properties in West Michigan, including Ada, Grand Rapids, Holland, and lakeshore locations
  • Work involves both indoor and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions
  • Must be comfortable performing tasks that require physical efforts such as lifting (up to 50 lbs independently; up to 100 lbs with assistance), climbing, and handling equipment
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, power tools, and machinery
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
