The Opportunity
The Sr. Financial Accounting Specialist will work with the Payroll and Benefits Administration Manager in the administration of compensation plans of RDV Corporation and OA Private Capital (an affiliate of RDV Corporation). This position will also work with the CFO of OA Private Capital in the administration and financial reporting of carried interest plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and tax principles, experience with compensation plans, and a demonstrated history of collaborating with individuals from multiple departments to execute responsibilities.

What You'll Do
Carried Interest Plan Administration
  • Responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are met
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting for multiple plans
  • Manage proprietary web-based portal to report plan information to participants
  • Assist with preparation and review of distribution schedules for plans; assist with payments from plan to participants
  • Lead administrative efforts related to plan, including but not limited to i) ensuring all relevant tax elections are timely completed; ii) tracking vesting; and iii) maintaining participant rosters
  • Work with RDV tax department to ensure timely distribution of participant taxable income reporting
  • Prepare and regularly update forecasted activity for participant distribution
Compensation Plan Administration
  • Responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are met
  • Responsible for maintaining accounting records for compensation plans while working with the Payroll and Benefits Administration Manager to coordinate the proper integration of the compensation plans into employee payroll
  • Work with plan participants to ensure smooth execution of plan requirements
  • Manage the employer contribution process, ensuring accurate and timely funding
  • Manage plan distribution process including working with valuation firms as needed to value plan assets in accordance with plan documents
  • Prepare and distribute statements to participants
  • Assist with general maintenance and development of plans as required from time-to-time
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Research and summarize data, offer solutions, and elevate issues when required using discretion and judgment
  • Develop and document business processes and policies to strengthen internal controls and promote efficiencies

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong accounting skills; understanding of tax implications; experience with employee compensation plans
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Team-first mentality with an emphasis on collaboration and servant leadership
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and have the desire to work closely and collaboratively with other team members
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience with documentation of compensation plans
  • Ability to maintain a “curious mind” with the awareness to know when to ask questions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, specifically Excel; experience with Power BI a plus
  • Experience working with compensation data and maintaining confidentiality; discretion in handling sensitive, highly confidential information
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field
