The Opportunity
OA Private Capital (“OAPC”), an affiliate of RDV Corporation (“RDV”), manages an alternative asset portfolio that specializes in private equity and seeks to offer clients a single access point to middle-market private equity sponsors across private equity, private credit, and secondary strategies. OAPC continues to experience rapid growth, creating a fast-paced and dynamic work environment for its employees.

The Business Analyst will support OA’s business intelligence activities, including cash flow forecasting, portfolio monitoring, portfolio valuation, internal reporting activities, and continuous improvement of processes and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have a business analytics background and experience with, or the ability to learn, PowerBI.

As an OAPC team member, the successful candidate will grow professionally and create value for the firm by: (i) supporting the business intelligence function by performing daily monitoring activities and maintenance, (ii) developing and maintaining internal reports and dashboards, and other deliverables; (iii) collaborating and communicating effectively with OAPC and RDV team members in a professional and fast-paced work environment; and (iv) supporting the business intelligence function on implementing process improvements and fully leveraging technology platforms in use at OAPC.

What You'll Do
  • Proactively lead the daily monitoring of cash activity against the cash flow forecast and raise areas that may require re-forecasting to the attention of the Director of BI.
  • Support bi-yearly cash flow forecasting refresh cycles and ad hoc in-year re-forecasting activities; assist in adding/updating investment forecast models following deal close.
  • Support the use of and continuous improvement upon technology platforms in use at OAPC, including internally developed platforms and those from external service providers.
  • Effectively follow current processes and best practices, and proactively identify where new standard processes could be implemented to support business intelligence activities.
  • Work cross-functionally within OAPC to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support maintenance of existing PowerBI dashboards and develop new dashboards as needed to replace legacy reporting tools and support ad-hoc data requests.
  • Assist in portfolio monitoring activities, including quality checking of portfolio monitoring data.
  • Assist in valuation activities, including monitoring the valuation process and supporting valuations reporting activities.
  • Attend regular internal meetings and educational sessions.
  • Execute other projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analytics, or Data Science or minimum of one year related work experience in a corporate setting.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor and has the desire and ability to operate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with ability to think big picture and understand connected relationships in data.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on projects, ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Exhibits analytical capability and a curious mind, with a strong desire/capacity to learn.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, particularly Excel. Experience working with PowerBI desired. Adaptable to the use of new technologies.
  • Ability to implement and maintain business processes and best practices.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive, highly confidential information.
