The Opportunity
Responsible for supporting the Investment Accounting group by performing a variety of accounting-related duties, while contributing to a culture of teamwork, innovation, critical thinking, and outstanding customer service. The Senior Investment Accountant will collaborate with the Investment Accounting team to provide exceptional service to the business entities, individuals, trusts, and foundations that RDV Corporation serves.

What You'll Do
Investment Accounting and Data:
  • Maintain and monitor amortization schedules for internal and external lines of credit.
  • Review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of variances.
  • Review daily wire activity and related postings for completeness, accuracy and proper coding.
  • Track, reconcile and properly code capital activity statements.
  • Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations; support the monthly close process.
Reporting:
  • Prepare trust statements on an annual and as-needed basis.
  • Respond to routine and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Manage and report certain client-directed giving and related activity.
Controls and Compliance:
  • Maintain and annually review the team’s process manual to ensure documentation remains current and effective.
  • Support Manager and Controller of Investment Accounting on a variety of projects, including:
  • Reporting, cash management, and annual audit of special purpose entities
  • Annual custody audit
  • Annual agreed upon procedures review for line of credit
Systems and Automation:
  • Participate as part of a team in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of an investment accounting system.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and efficiency initiatives within the Accounting Department.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and service orientation

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of proficiency in accounting systems.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently, and be self-directed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Highest level of confidentiality must be exercised at all times.
