The Opportunity
The HRIS Systems and Solutions Partner will act as the hands-on lead and “superuser” for HR related systems (with a focus on the newly implemented HRIS (UKG)), including testing and configuration, security administration, report writing, post go-live review and coordination of cross-functional dependencies between Talent Services, Payroll & Benefits, IT, and Finance.

This role will also create and maintain operational efficiencies for the department and the organization by researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining best in class data processes and workflows, ensuring optimization of the systems and outputs. In addition, the HRIS Systems and Solutions Partner will help to foster an engaging culture and environment by delivering value added services and programs as assigned.

What You'll Do

HRIS & Data Management

  • Provide pro-active support for the development, implementation, updates, and ongoing maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure that consistency and integrity of organizational data is maintained within the HRIS.
  • Develop and maintain an advanced “Super User” working knowledge of the system.
  • Explore and recommend ways to maximize HRIS functionality to improve business processes.
  • Listen to understand internal client needs and explain complex technical issues and solutions in a way that is understandable to the audience.   
  • Suggest, create, and implement workflows within the HRIS to enhance efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with HRIS vendor support team.
  • Work closely with the vendor support team to develop and test new uses of the HRIS to ensure preservation and accuracy of data.
  • Maintain strong working partnership with the Payroll & Benefits, IT and Finance teams to identify any potential risk or errors regarding employee data, eliminate redundancies, and ensure information is processed in the most efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot and seek timely resolution to administrative and user issues with the HRIS system.
  • Produce standard reports, create custom reports, and provide additional HR related information as needed. Train other HRIS Administrators on the use of the system’s report writing tools.
  • Remain up to date on HRIS updates and new releases. Inform and train Talent Services leadership and the TS team as needed.
  • Develop, document and maintain all current and new system process workflows for efficiency and compliance. 
  • Create training materials and facilitate HRIS training for new Talent Services team members, new managers & new employees, as well as ongoing training for all employees as needed.
  • Maintain the HRIS news and information page ensuring employees have easy access to information that is current and relevant to organizational initiatives.
  • As an administrator develop, maintain, document processes and workflows, and provide training when necessary as it relates to other talent and benefits related systems.

Project Management

  • Gain a firm understanding of project objectives, necessary resources, and desired outcomes.
  • Work in a highly collaborative manner within the Talent Services team, cross-functionally, and with external resources to complete projects intended to advance department initiatives in areas such as: employer branding, employee onboarding, Talent Services operations and compliance.
  • Lead assigned systems/data related projects: Develop project plans, work closely with other Talent Services team members to achieve desired outcomes, report progress updates to Talent Services leadership.
  • Provide special project support as requested by the VP of Talent Services.
  • Work closely with the Talent Services leadership to maintain a comprehensive and prioritized list of systems/data related projects. 

General Talent Services Support

  • Handle multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail, excellent follow through, and confidentiality.
  • Pro-actively look for, suggest, and act on alternative, creative, and innovative ways to best accomplish superior outcomes.
  • Exhibits foresight in recognizing potential problems, needs and/or inefficiencies, and pro-actively develop and propose solutions.
  • Exemplify RDV’s values and be a champion of the RDV culture.
  • Act as a role model and provide mentoring to more junior Talent Services professionals.
  • Facilitate requests for organizational charts and other HRIS related data.
  • Maintain tracking and documentation of employee leaves of absences within the HRIS.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance in matters related to new and out of state employees as it relates to system set-up and tracking.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of events hosted by Talent Services as assigned.  
  • Remain up to date on employment law and applicable compliance related topics. 
  • Assist with providing research for policies, special projects/initiatives, and other Talent Services related issues.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, human resources, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with progressively increased responsibilities in human resources systems management and project management.
  • Experience with system implementation life cycle, data management and HRIS related knowledge and experience. Experience with UKG, Ultipro, and/or Kronos preferred.
