The Opportunity
Responsible for leadership and oversight of the RDV Corporation Accounting, Finance and Payroll teams with an emphasis on financial reporting, risk mitigation, treasury management, systems and process efficiency. Provides strategic and hands on leadership related to financial systems, team development and financial matters affecting the Company and the client.

What You'll Do
Accounting:
  • Oversees all areas of Accounting and Finance, including investment accounting, treasury management, financial services and reporting, and payroll.
  • Develops a strong understanding of the Company’s investment accounting, general ledger, and integrated reporting systems in order to ensure integrity of data in a multi-layered ownership environment.
  • Responsible for the oversight of development and review of all reports and analysis. Will also be actively involved in development, preparation, analysis, and review of standard and ad hoc financial and investment reports for multiple entities. These reports will include financial statements, budgets, forecasts, net worth reports, performance reports, and board reporting, among others.
  • Shares in the management of relationships with bankers regarding banking, credit card program, and debt facilities. Ensures compliance with all reporting requirements and debt covenants.
  • Provides input and generate ideas regarding structuring of entities, trusts and transactions in order to assist in efficient wealth transfer, accounting structure and operational effectiveness.
  • Supports CFO with client reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborates with affiliate entities (including Ottawa Avenue Private Capital) on cash flow forecasting, reporting and other financial analysis.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA required. Masters desired.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a combination of public accounting and industry, with at least five of those years in a executive management position.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple complex situations.
  • Demonstrated success in project management with experience in strategic analysis, the ability to plan, organize, and manage project components with successful execution and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to provide strong and effective management and development of individual employees as well as team(s), fostering an environment of positive accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be highly attentive to detail and possess strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in leveraging technology required.
  • Family office experience a plus.
