What You'll Do
  • Cultivate strong professional working relationships with stakeholders to discover, interpret, and fully understand the broader perspective and holistic vision for communication.
  • Consult with stakeholders and leadership to make recommendations for overall project approach, including budget, timeline, and creative assets. 
  • Create visually stunning strategic plans and presentations that successfully and succinctly communicate complex topics through design and supportive text.
  • Use design and multimedia to aid in storytelling activities for the organization, its departments, and its ownership group.
  • Partner with co-workers of all levels in designing and implementing visually intriguing content for digital and print materials, including social media, website, marketing materials, presentations, and events. 
  • Translate datasets into compelling visuals that tell a story and help others to understand multifaceted and complex topics and situations.
  • Leverage video, photography, and audio as part of storytelling efforts, including managing user-friendly onsite technology to capture raw files and bring to a final cut.  
  • Partner with department management to oversee outside design and multimedia vendors.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects to effectively schedule project implementation, while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Examine existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and create solutions to improve organizational output.
  • Stay informed about current design and multimedia technologies, industry trends, and best practices to create innovative, effective, and engaging content.
  • Assist organization with consistently implementing brand standards.
  • Understand and implement ADA compliance and accessibility in externally facing design work.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, communications, art, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an agency environment with direct client contact or a corporate environment preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office projects, including strong skills in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of design software and technologies such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe suite, etc. 
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and other web-based content management systems.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills with experience bringing new programs and ideas to fruition.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, stay within a budget, and work on many projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a strong performance-driven attitude, willing to execute day-to-day tasks and develop strategies and project plans. 
  • Able to work in a team environment in a corporate setting and complete tasks independently.
  • A desire to research, learn about new things, and identify creative solutions.
  • Flexible thinker who is able to anticipate needs and preferences of others and manage conflicting requests and timelines, prioritizing and adapting effectively.
  • Independent judgement, artistic vision, a passion for compelling content, and the ability to discern which elements to include in materials and how they are presented. 
  • Tenacity to deliver a thoroughly developed product through multiple iterations over time.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to initiate, plan, prioritize and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to interface effectively with various levels of management, clients, vendors, and co-workers in a highly professional manner, with the highest level of confidentiality exercised at all times. 
  • Strong file management capabilities.
  • A positive, curious, aspirational, and encouraging approach to work and others.
  • An interest in business, philanthropy and public policy is a plus.
