The Opportunity
Are you passionate about providing top-tier care to young children in a private home? We seek a dedicated individual who thrives on engaging young minds and promoting educational growth. In addition to childcare duties, this role also involves offering support to ensure smooth daily household operations.

This position is in Grand Rapids, MI. Normal work hours would be 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with up to 40 hours per week. Flexibility is needed to work outside of the regular hours on occasion. Weekend and travel work will be required.

What You'll Do
Join our team as a dedicated nanny, where you will have the rewarding opportunity to tend to children's daily physical, emotional, and safety needs with knowledge, experience, and a genuine love for their well-being. You'll engage with children in assisting them with homework and school projects, as well as coordinating appointments, activities, and play dates. With a focus on educational development, you'll carefully plan and propose engaging lesson plans and extracurricular activities to encourage learning and creativity. As a trusted caregiver, you'll enforce good manners and discipline while fostering open communication with parents and household staff. In addition to these responsibilities, you must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving the family vehicle to transport children to and from various activities and appointments; this may include school, extracurricular activities, playdates, and other events as needed. You may also travel with the family as a childcare provider, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children during trips.

You will be an essential part of our household support team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children. Your tasks will include loading, running, and unloading the dishwasher, wiping down surfaces after activities, snacks, and meals, organizing children's rooms and play areas, and ensuring that toys and games are in good condition. You'll also assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, packing lunches, and running errands as needed. Your proactive and attentive approach will help anticipate the family's needs and ensure their daily routines run smoothly. Additionally, you'll provide care for our pets, help with household organization, and assist with any special projects that may arise.

Education and Experience
