Join our team as an Executive IT Support Specialist! In this role, you will deliver top-notch IT support to our internal clients across various locations, from family homes to marine vessels. This position is in Grand Rapids, MI. Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but flexibility is needed to work outside the regular hours on a rotating on-call basis. This role also requires travel work.

What You'll Do
In this position, you will work alongside IT Support Specialists, contribute to improving operations and user experience, and collaborate with team members to provide excellent IT concierge services. Your responsibilities will include professional desktop support for Windows and Mac systems, mobile technology deployment, vendor coordination for purchasing and repairs, and maintenance of peripherals. You will also be involved in planning and implementing computer workstations, delivering technical training and assistance, installing software and security programs, and supporting various home technologies. Your role will encompass daily customer service support, including Executive IT support, strategic technology planning, communication with multiple stakeholders, and remaining updated on industry trends. You will work collaboratively with Network Engineers and undertake project and support tasks as required.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this job should possess diverse qualifications and experiences. This includes having a background in using remote desktop technologies, two-factor authentication, and other cybersecurity best practices. Additionally, familiarity with Apple products such as laptops, desktops, iPhones/iPads, and other Apple/Mac hardware and software is essential. Experience utilizing desktop videoconferencing software like Zoom, MS Teams, Facetime, and file sync/share services like Dropbox is also preferred. Candidates should be knowledgeable about supporting cellular technology, networks, and mobile and wireless computing. Experience with mobile device management software is a plus. Proficiency in network and Internet communications, Windows and Mac OS administration, and Microsoft Office 365, particularly Microsoft Outlook, is required. Basic home and building construction knowledge, home automation, and audio/video technologies are beneficial. Strong facilitation, negotiation, documentation, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are needed. Applicants should have strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, committed to providing the highest levels of customer service and confidentiality. The role may require regional, domestic, and international travel, with fluctuating frequencies.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in information technology or equivalent experience/training.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years or more experience in computer/technology support.
