The Opportunity
This position is responsible for assisting in preventative care and daily maintenance of private warehouse facilities. This role also provides warehouse inventory coordination, control, and management services.

What You'll Do

Warehouse Maintenance:

  • Assist with preparation and support of special events that take place at the residence by preparing, checking, and delivering items from the warehouse when requested; may include other special duties assigned by management and/or owners.
  • Clear sidewalks and load docks / garage door areas on a daily basis. Remove dust, dirt, leaves, and snow to ensure safe conditions at all times.
  • Provide care, maintenance, operational readiness, safe and proper use of power tools and other equipment used to maintain the facility. Maintain all equipment to prevent malfunction. Comply with all established personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Responsible for vehicle management including auto and motor coach cleaning (interior and exterior); assisting with scheduling of vehicle maintenance and transport; driving stored vehicles monthly during summer months; attending to battery tenders to ensure consistent readiness and operation; performing summer / winter tire changes.
  • Assist with operational readiness and maintenance of recreational equipment stored within the facility. Perform maintenance on patio furniture annually.
  • Perform a variety of facility custodial duties in order to keep the interior of the facility clean and fully operational. These tasks include, but are not limited to, window washing, floor cleaning, bathroom cleaning, replacing lighting, etc., utilizing an aerial lift, as necessary.
  • Exercise good judgment when maintenance problems occur. Report all maintenance/repair problems to the property manager and assist with coordination of problem resolution as warranted.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain monthly storage report, assist with proper allocation of and invoicing for spaced rented by others, working with Property Manager to ensure monthly inventory is accurate.
  • Handle delivery-related tasks including assisting with receiving deliveries; utilizing a forklift to move large deliveries; disseminating information to appropriate parties upon receipt; staging received items for pick up, and outgoing items for pick up by shipping companies.
  • Unpack and inspect deliveries when directed and report and damage or defects, reporting receipt and findings to the appropriate staff member.
  • Record / document / label all incoming items and locate appropriately.
  • Coordinate storage of items to maximize efficiency; assist family staff with delivery/pick up of items; make recommendations with regards to items that have expired or been forgotten.
  • Collaborate with other staff members as needed to develop and maintain accurate and detailed inventory records.
  • Assist with vehicle placements and staging as requested.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies needed and keep all items organized and ready for use.

General:

  • Perform seasonal and other projects as assigned; run errands as needed.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum of three years of administrative support experience in a professional environment required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficiency in use of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, technology, and the internet.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general office practices, procedures, and office equipment (i.e., phone/video conferencing, etc.)
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently and be self-directed.
  • Proven ability to create an exceptional team and visitor experience; consistently demonstrates enthusiasm for exemplary standards of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; resourceful and assertive in gathering information to effectively communicate.

Essential Physical Demands
  • Required to wear employer-provided clothing when applicable.
  • Required to wear appropriate employer-provided safety equipment in performance of job.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet; occasional lifting to eighty (80) pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing on feet for lengthy periods of time.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of conditions.
  • Ability to operate required equipment, including but not limited to skid steer loader, plow, snow blower, forklift, and aerial lift in a safe manner.
  • Ability to drive large vehicles with trailers.
