The Opportunity
This position exists to provide support to SpringGR (SGR) entrepreneurs through coaching, managing the mentor programs, and connecting alumni to financing and other resources that will help them grow their businesses. 

What is SpringGR?
SpringGR is a business training experience for entrepreneurs with an idea to start and succeed in their own business. SpringGR works together one evening a week for 12 weeks to give entrepreneurs the tools and confidence to turn their idea into a real business. Alumni of the program work with business coaches, have access to events, specialized learning, and networking opportunities for up to two years. To learn more about SpringGR, visit their website at www.springgr.com/

Duties and Responsibilities

Connecting

  • Build and manage a network of volunteers willing to support SGR entrepreneurs as they seek to grow their businesses.
  • Effectively match entrepreneurs with volunteers.
  • Utilize and update SGR data system to assist with communication and management of volunteer network and entrepreneur needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESO’s) and financial institutions for connections to SGR entrepreneurs.

Coaching

  • Coach SGR entrepreneurs during their training and as alumni.
  • Participate in process to transition entrepreneurs from initial training to alumni activities.

Business Development

  • Plan and organize alumni events with goal of helping SGR entrepreneurs network, learn and grow their businesses as well as to grow and strengthen the SGR brand.
  • Connect SGR entrepreneurs to financial capital opportunities that will assist them in business growth.
  • Maintain and promote a calendar of non-SGR events.

Learning

  • In partnership with other SGR team members develop learning opportunities, trainings, and content that fill learning gaps.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend SGR classes and other events as needed.
  • Keep records of SGR and mentor interactions, progress, growth, etc.
  • Assist with annual data collection of SGR entrepreneurs.
  • Provide story and PR suggestions to the Program Associate for Communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Elements of Success
  • ​​​​Experience starting and running a business.
  • Coaching experience preferred.
  • Formal education such as a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, accounting, finance, etc. preferred.
  • At least five years of professional experience working in one of these fields.
  • Have and continue to develop a diverse and broad network of business people.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with people emotionally on a professional and personal level; makes others feel comfortable and inspired.
  • Balance people skills with a high level of detail and planning.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Flexibility to work with multiple teams; ability to manage shifting work flow, clarify deadlines, and negotiate priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience or an understanding of relationships and networking in multi-cultural contexts.
  • Shares commitment to and is comfortable producing communications in a way that represents the Christian beliefs and principles of the various families and their Foundation initiatives.
  • Flexibility to attend evening events and occasional travel out of town.
  • Must be able to operate an automobile and be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
