Are you a tax professional looking to apply your knowledge in a collaborative, innovative, and sophisticated business environment?   Then it's time to consider joining the group of Tax professionals at RDV Corporation. An RDV Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for tax return workpaper preparation and review, analysis for tax planning, and tax return estimate calculations for business entities, individuals, trusts, and foundations associated with RDV Corporation.  Salaried, exempt position reporting to the Senior Tax Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with the Tax Management Group in preparation and review of the following tax returns for individuals, trusts, business entities, and foundations:
    • Federal and state income tax returns
    • Personal property tax returns
    • Review of Form 1099 filings prepared by the Accounting Department
    • Calculation of estimated tax payments
  • Reviews fixed asset depreciation reports including input into depreciation software.
  • Responds to information requests resulting from IRS and state exams of income.
  • Researches tax issues on reporting of income and deductions for investments.
  • Conducts analysis and completes projects related to federal and state income tax planning.
  • Maintains basis calculations on investments.
  • Obtains EINs for new entities and trusts.

Elements of Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 4+ years experience in public accounting.
  • Ability to handle sophisticated tax issues.
  • Advanced computer abilities, including MS Outlook, Excel, and financial software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, verbal, and written communications skills, with a variety of people including internal team members, business executives, clients, external partners, vendors, and government representatives. Professional and focused.
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and ownership of project work and results. Follows through on commitments. Works until the job is done.
