Are you a tax professional looking to apply your broad knowledge in a collaborative, innovative, and sophisticated business environment?   Then it's time to consider joining the group of Tax professionals at RDV Corporation. An RDV Tax Manager is responsible for the management of tax staff and review of tax compliance, estimate calculations, and analysis for business entities, individuals, trusts, and foundations associated with RDV Corporation.  Salaried, exempt position reporting to the Vice President of Tax.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • At the direction of the VP of Tax and Senior Tax Management Team:
    • Collaborates with other Tax Managers on the assignment and flow of work within the tax department.
    • Reviews federal and state tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payment calculations.
    • Reviews tax return preparation in conjunction with RDV Corporation tax staff and outside accounting firm.
    • Reviews workpapers used in state tax compliance process.
    • Prepares and reviews federal and state tax correspondence.
    • Participates in the oversight, response and calculations regarding IRS and state income tax exam matters.
  • Completes planning, analysis and tax compliance projects for state, local, and international tax matters. Engages in research and recommends action.
  • Reviews tax basis calculations of investments.
  • Provides analysis and projections of future tax payments.
  • Analyzes private equity investments to determine proper tax treatment.
  • Prepares and reviews LLC operating and limited partnership agreements with internal and external attorneys.
Elements of Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA or advanced tax training required.
  • 7+ years experience in public accounting and or a combination of public accounting and industry with an emphasis on tax analysis, planning and compliance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of state and local tax matters required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of international tax matters beneficial.
  • Ability to handle sophisticated tax issues.
  • Advanced computer abilities, including MS Outlook, Excel, and financial software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, verbal, and written communications skills, with a variety of people including internal team members, business executives, clients, external partners, vendors, and government representatives. Professional and focused.
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrates exceptional accuracy, critical forward thinking, and ownership of project work and results. Follows through on commitments. Works until the job is done.
  • Uncompromising commitment to highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Previous supervisory, mentorship, or workflow management experience a plus.
