Position Summary:
The Vice President of Talent Services works with clients and with RDV Corporation senior management to provide vision, strategy, and leadership development and management in all areas of Talent Services/Human Resources.  This role also leads and develops the Talent Services Team.
 
This full-time, salaried/exempt position serves as a member of the Operations Management Team and reports to the Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Chief Financial Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategy for all talent attraction, development, and retention including benefits, policies, communications, total rewards, best practices, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for a broad spectrum of organizational development and employment policies, procedures, and programs including, but not limited to: benefits, compensation, performance management, employee relations, employee communication, recruitment and retention, talent development and training, succession planning, safety and health, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Foster an environment of customer service toward clients, the organization, and its talent that models collaboration, responsiveness, and excellence in execution.
  • Serve as trusted resource to clients in all aspects of Talent Services development and implementation.
  • Establish collaborative working relationships throughout the organization with various clients, management, and employees utilizing a tailored approach to meet client/customer service needs.
  • Develop and facilitate proactive strategies to ensure optimal communication within and between corporate office and private staff.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to evaluate current and future staffing needs, develop succession plans, develop position descriptions and recruit for senior management positions, negotiate offers of employment, and execute employment contracts and confidentiality agreements.
  • Recommend compensation structures that align with each respective entity’s and client’s philosophy; conduct annual compensation review process.
  • Improve programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting strategic and operational employee issues.
  • Manage employee relations situations in partnership with the responsible manager and appropriate leadership.
  • Serve as key member of cross-functional teams responsible for providing outstanding service to clients and staff.
  • Provide leadership and direction for Talent Services Team; foster the team’s professional development.
  • Recommend, develop, present, and negotiate severance packages to terminated employees; ensure legal compliance related to separation process; serve as employer representative throughout separation process.
  • Network with community partners and leverage resources to ensure the necessary presence in the community.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and national Human Resources certification; Master’s or law degree preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressively more responsible human resources management-level or employment law experience with reporting relationship to senior-level corporate executives.
  • Proven leadership skills; demonstrated success in building high performance teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus in order to facilitate relationships toward a common goal.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in human resources, employee relations, employment law, project management, and client/customer service.
  • Experience working collaboratively with professional colleagues and building effective professional relationships.
  • Committed to supporting the vision, mission, and principles of the organization and client families.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Proven success in effective professional and strategic dynamics with all levels of management and peer groups.
  • Highly skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities through creative solutions and results that parallel initiatives and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience utilizing applicant tracking software.
