The Opportunity
Are you a college student who has great attention to detail, a positive attitude, and is looking to gain experience in a corporate office environment? If so, our Investment Accounting internship is a great opportunity to consider! This intern will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Group by performing a variety of accounting-related duties. Full-time position working 30-40 hours/week in the summer (May-August) with the opportunity to become part-time (10-15 hours/week) during the school year.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Posts transaction entries into the accounting system.
  • Integrates transactions between accounting systems.
  • Participates in office administration duties as assigned.
  • Prepares additional reports as necessary.
  • Files banking and investment documents as required.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
Elements of Success
  • Current college junior or senior, enrolled at least part-time at a fully accredited four-year institution; related college coursework including intermediate accounting is required.
  • Previous college coursework and/or professional work experience with various bookkeeping duties and computer applications, including bank reconciliations.
  • Thorough understanding of general office practices, procedures, and office equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently, and be self-directed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.  
  • Highest level of confidentiality must be exercised at all times.
