Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing all accounting duties related to multiple locations and business ventures. Full-time, salaried/exempt position which reports to the Business Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Accounting
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and year end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard assets, including cash and credit card activity.
  • Provide oversight, mentoring, and counsel to other accounting staff members.
  • Manage credit card program.
  • Prepare year-end reporting including 1099 and 1096 forms.
Communication and Problem Resolution
  • Build strong working relationships with and serve as liaison to coworkers, management, and RDV Corporation by providing exemplary customer service.
  • Research and summarize data, offer solutions, and elevate issues when required using discretion and judgment.
Other Duties
  • Assist with human resource-related activities and projects as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating information technology services as needed.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA preferred.
  • At least five years of related work experience required.
  • Strong user of accounting software programs; experience with QuickBooks a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Positive and professional demeanor, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional and highly confidential corporate environment.
  • Uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to open standard and lateral file drawers that require push/pull force.
  • Must be able to lift/transport boxes of approximately thirty (30) pounds, stoop, bend, and climb steps and stairs.
