Duties and Responsibilities
  • At the direction of the Senior Vice President of Tax this position is responsible for the supervision of RDV Corporation tax staff in the preparation and review of federal and state tax compliance for business entities, individuals, trusts and foundations associated with RDV Corporation.
    • Part of team managing the assignment and flow of work within the tax department.
    • Review of federal and state tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payment calculations.
    • Review tax return preparation in conjunction with RDV Corporation tax staff and outside accounting firm.
    • Review of workpapers used in state tax compliance process.
    • Preparation and review of federal and state tax correspondence.
    • Participate in the oversight, response and calculations regarding IRS and state income tax exam matters.
  • Works on tax analysis and projects related to federal and state income tax planning.
  • Works on planning and tax compliance for international tax matters.
  • Works on planning and tax compliance for state and local tax matters.
  • Review of tax basis calculations of investments.
  • Works on analysis and projections of future tax payments.
  • Analysis of private equity investments to determine proper tax treatment.
  • Works with internal and external attorney’s in preparation and review of LLC operating agreements and limited partnership agreements.
Elements of Success
  • Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Preferred – Master’s degree in Taxation.
  • CPA or advanced tax training required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in public accounting and or a combination of public accounting and industry with an emphasis on tax analysis, planning and compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in state and local tax matters beneficial.
  • Knowledgeable in international tax matters beneficial.
  • Ability to handle sophisticated tax issues.
  • Advanced computer abilities, including financial software knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Uncompromised commitment to highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
