Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Investment Accounting & Reporting – Manager with preparing and reviewing externally-required reporting. Full-time, salaried/exempt position which reports to the Investment Accounting & Reporting – Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop an expertise in the Company’s portfolio management, general ledger, and integrated reporting systems in order to ensure integrity of transactions and data in a multi-layered ownership environment.
  • Responsible for assisting the Investment Accounting & Reporting – Manager in the preparation of externally-required reporting. Will also be actively involved in development, preparation, analysis, and review of standard and ad hoc financial and investment reports for multiple entities. These reports will include, among others:
    • monthly and annual transactional and balance sheet reporting;
    • investment reporting;
    • financial statements and footnotes
  • Work with the Tax Department to
    • coordinate reporting of income;
    • review tax-reported activity
  • Work with the Investment Department to
    • coordinate disclosure reporting information;
    • review investment valuations;
    • assist in developing processes and controls to identify any new reporting needs
  • Completion of the above will be facilitated through a working knowledge of relational database concepts and application of SSRS, Excel, and other database reporting tools.
  • Member of the team responsible for the coordination, testing, and implementation of new technology related tools and technology upgrades.
  • Actively involved in the development of new internal controls within the Investment Accounting group and documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience required, with public audit or tax accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with private equity investment accounting.
  • Tax or SEC experience a plus.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, follow through on projects, work independently, and be self-directed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and processing for multiple entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional and highly confidential corporate environment.
  • Uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to open standard and lateral file drawers that require push/pull force.
  • Must be able to lift/transport boxes of approximately thirty (30) pounds; stoop, bend, and climb steps and stairs.
