The Opportunity
Calling all college students who are seeking a summer internship in a service-oriented, community-centered environment! This part-time position (3 days, 20 hours/week) is responsible for providing administrative support for the Summer Learning Academies (SLA) program. Great experience for students looking to serve a greater purpose and further develop their professional skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage consent collection process for SLA providers.
  • Match consents and report cards to SLA student participants.
  • Track students with missing forms; work with providers for missing and/or incomplete forms.
  • Follow-up with providers for any missing attendance; check attendance weekly for duplicate students.
  • Enter report card and other required information accurately into SLA data management system.
  • Assist with logistics for training, meetings and events.
  • Assist with other program-related tasks as requested.
Elements of Success
  • Must be currently enrolled in an institution of higher education with one semester of administrative/secretarial experience in a professional environment.
  • Experience working with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, English grammar, spelling, punctuation and composition skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to follow through on projects and work independently.
  • Ability to be flexible in working additional hours if requested, in addition to the normal work schedule.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management in a highly professional and confidential corporate environment.
